Group Discussion Questions

  1. How would you describe the chaos in your life right now? What chaos in the world is most disturbing to you?
  2. Put yourself first in the shoes of Nebuchadnezzar and then in the shoes of his advisors. Describe the chaos each was feeling as the conflict mounts in Daniel 2:1-13.
  3. How does Daniel respond to the chaos (2:14-23)? How could we respond in similar ways to chaos in our lives?
  4. Read 2:20-23 and describe the God that Daniel praises. What do we know about him?
  5. How does Daniel address Nebuchadnezzar (2:25-30)?
  6. What is most powerful to you about the dream and its interpretation (2:31-45)? Who or what is the rock?
  7. How does Nebuchadnezzar respond (2:46-47)? How do you respond to a fresh understanding of the bigness of God from Daniel chapter two?
  8. How can the bigness of God help you overcome the chaos in your life and in the world?
