Group Discussion Questions

  1. What are the cheesiest love songs of all time?
  2. How would you explain the conflict between the “Flesh” and the “Spirit”?
  3. How do you define love? Evaluate the following definition: “Love is a passionate commitment to act for another’s benefit.” How is love all at once a choice, a verb and passionate?
  4. How did God show ultimate love in Jesus Christ?
  5. Who are we to love?
  6. How can we show people love as Jesus did?
  7. To whom do you most need to show more love? How could you show love to them in presence, service, words or compassion?


Family Discussion Question

  1. Read Galatians 5:13-26 out loud as a family. How would you characterize living by the “Flesh” versus living by the “Spirit”?
  2. What is the promise for those who live by the flesh? Is there a particular fleshly desire that you struggle with? Parents, share appropriately with your family.
  3. What is the first fruit of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22? How would you describe it?
  4. Take turns looking up these verses and share how scripture describes love: Matthew 22:34-40; 1 John 5:3; 1 Peter 1:22; John 13:34-35; Galatians 6:10; Luke 10; John 1:14; Mark 3:14; 1 John 3:18; Mark 10:45; John 13; 1 John 4:8,19; John 3:16; Romans 5:8; Ephesians 5:1-2; 1 Corinthians 13; Proverbs 15:4; John 4; 2 Corinthians 1:3-4; Romans 12:15; John 11
  5. What is one thing you can do to live out this description of love this week? – “Love is a passionate commitment to act for another’s benefit.”
  6. Memory verse: Galatians 5:22-23. Write it out and post it in a prominent place. Set a reward for the whole family to memorize it.

Kids sports camp, and more!

Kids, come pump up your faith and body with a week of C3 (Christian Conditioning Camp), June 24-28. Build a strong foundation in Christ by working out every part of your body and soul. Session 1 is 10-12 pm for kids who have completed 1st-3rd grades. Session 2 is 1-3 pm for kids who have completed 4th-6th grades. There are also other camps to choose from.
