Moms Connection
Are you expecting or are a mom of an infant, preschool or kindergarten child? Moms Connection kicks off Sept. 8. Join us for either the 9:15 or 11:15 am session. Register online.

Registration is now open for the new AWANA season, beginning Sept. 8. Kids ages 3 – 4th Grade are invited to come have a blast while they learn Bible verses, spiritual truths, and encounter life lessons that feed their soul. Group Discussion Questions

What has been your experience with global missions?

  1. How would you describe God’s heart for the world? How is his heart for all people in the world displayed?
  2. How would you compare your heart for the world to God’s heart? Where do you struggle to have more of God’s heart? How could you grow to love the peoples of the world more like God does?
  3. Read the biblical accounts of Jesus’ Great Commission: Matthew 28:16-20; Luke 24:46-49; John 20:21-23; Acts 1:6-8. How do you see the Trinity in each account? In each account point out the authority for commission, the scope of our commission, the task we are given and the power or resources to accomplish it.
  4. In your own words, what do you believe is every believer’s responsibility for making world impact?
  5. How have you been involved in making an impact on the world?
  6. What could you do to practically make a difference in the world (consider the four actions steps from the sermon: give, pray, share and go)?


Family Discussion Questions

  1. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
  2. On a map ( find a country you’ve never heard of and click on it. What things can you find out about that country?
  3. What does it say about the religion of the country you picked?
  4. Is this a Christian nation or not? If it’s not a Christian nation, what do you know about the destiny of the people who live there (John 3:16 gives us a clue)?
  5. Read Genesis 12:1-3. What did God plan to do through Abraham and his family? What do you think God means when he tells Abraham that “all peoples on earth will be blessed by you”?
  6. Why does God care so much about us? Why did God send Jesus? How does Jesus fit into the blessing God promised Abraham (John 3:16)?
  7. Read Matthew 28:18-20. What is Jesus telling his followers to do? How do you fit into God’s plan to bless all the peoples of the earth?
  8. What are some specific ways you can impact the world for Jesus?
